A South Australian winery has launched a new range of fancy “Bag in a Box” wines – including Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz.
The Calabria Family Wines Banta Box offers first-class wine in a two-liter carton, which is almost 14 glasses of wine.
The boxes showcase new styles of wine that barrel-sized buyers don’t see often, including classics like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Rosé.
The range is perfect for midweek moments or casual wine evenings when you just want a glass of wine without wasting a bottle.
The wines, which cost $ 13.99 each, are 100 percent vegan and can stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 30 days after opening.
The Banta Box format is ideal for those weekday moments when you want a glass of wine but don’t want to open a new bottle
Every wine offers a different taste, from the strong aromas of the cherry in a Shiraz to the bursting honeydew tones in a Chardonnay
The range includes classic varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé and Shiraz, as well as alternative and early-market varieties such as Montepulciano and Nero D’Avola
Every wine offers a different taste, from the strong aromas of the cherry in a Shiraz to the bursting honeydew tones in a Chardonnay.
The range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé and Shiraz, as well as alternative and early-marketed varieties such as Montepulciano and a Nero D’Avola.
The Banta Box range is available from independent retailers.
The new product release comes because barrel wine consumption is at a market high.
The Banta Box range is priced at $ 13.99 and is available exclusively from independent retailers
“Banta Box offers wine drinkers who occasionally want to have a glass of wine at home with a meal the ability to refrigerate for extended periods of time without the fault of opening a whole bottle,” said marketing manager Andrew Calabria.
‘For a while now, the Australian barrel category has had a bad rap as inferior, but that perception is changing as more premium offerings hit the market.
“Overseas markets have really embraced boxed wine and we are absolutely confident that Australia is on the same path.”
