The Bowl & Bowl Café has opened its doors in Toa Payoh in the northern part of the central region of Singapore, offering customers a wide variety of fried rice bowls with a choice of toppings.
The five robotic frying pans are the main attraction of the venue, along with the 11 popular toppings to choose from from the menu – including edamame, chicken, shrimp, smoked duck, black pepper beef, salmon, and vegetarian.
Once ordered, guests can watch the robot stir the eggs before frying them with steamed white rice and finely chopped green onions.

As soon as the fried rice is cooked, an employee spoons the rice into a bowl before adding fresh ingredients to it.
The cafe uses a special rice serving machine that serves perfectly portioned, pre-measured rice.
Mini trays of rice and eggs are then placed next to the robotic machines in a “food train” so that the ingredients are automatically cooked during the process.
The robot pan is automatically oiled before two broken eggs are thrown in. When the lid closes, the eggs are messed up. The lid opens again and a tray of rice and spring onions is tipped in.

There are 11 popular toppings to choose from on the menu – including edamame, chicken, shrimp, smoked duck, black pepper beef, salmon and vegetarian (picture or shrimp and chicken floss).
The lid is closed again and fried with stirring until the ingredients are well mixed.
The clerk covers the rice and fills the bowl to the brim with ingredients like edamame, cherry tomatoes, corn, slices of beef and even a boiled egg.
Dozens of customers shared their culinary experiences on social media. One said, “So amazing. Fried rice cooked by automatic “robots”. The fried rice tastes good too. ‘
Another added: ‘Tried last week. Surprisingly good.’
However, not everyone seemed impressed with a saying, “Our world is moving in the wrong direction. It makes me so angry and very sad to see the food being prepared by robots.”
A second wrote, “Sad how even food has to be prepared by robots … that just shows how lazy we get.”
