Hayley Kiyoko branches out.
After the artist has taken the music world by storm in recent years with her patented brand of honest pop storytelling, the artist, who is affectionately known by her fans as “Lesbian Jesus”, is breaking new ground with the release of her first fragrance. Available March 3rd, the gender HUE started with a fragrance created with a perfumer Constance Georges-Picot from Cosmo Fragrances, along with development support from Bart Schmidtbefore Hayley and Slate Brands produced a concentrated eau de parfum version.
It was important for Hayley that her first fragrance embodied acceptance and inclusivity. “Perfume was a big part of my strange experience,” she said Fashion. “I remember feeling famous in middle school because girls said I smelled good. They wouldn’t date me. They didn’t have a crush on me. But they said I smelled good, and it was a big deal for me, and I’ve worn this all my life. I want to give my fans that power and armor even when they’re at home! “
