Dave Bautista says Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will start production at the end of 2021. Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have marveled at the long-awaited sequel since James Gunn directed it The suicide squad. However, Gunn did a good job of keeping MCU fans updated, providing updates, and making sure the film wasn’t delayed due to his work with DC.
In a new interview Drax actor Dave Bautista was asked Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Of course, the actor couldn’t say much, but he has provided a new update that should delight fans. He also touched on the script that James Gunn wrote and some changes. You can read what Bautista had to say below.
“I think it’s okay to say we’ll get into production by the end of next year. I saw a script early when we were all on schedule and James Gunn was attached before it all went crazy. I think because [Marvel’s] The whole calendar has changed [due to the pandemic shutdown and Guardians’ production delays]that the storylines have changed and are not overlapping as originally planned. Obviously we lost Chadwick [Boseman]So I don’t know where this is going Black Panther. I haven’t seen a new script, is the short answer. “
James Gunn has claimed over the past few months that he has only made a few minor changes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Last month the director said, “The script has been written and most of the production managers have been hired.” He then discussed some of the improvements he is making to his projects. “I always optimize the script for artistic reasons and will continue to do it, but nothing else.” So it seems that Dave Bautista knows the story of the film as it hasn’t changed too much.
Back in August of that year, James Gunn reassured MCU fans when he announced the start of production and release date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. 2020 was a difficult year for the entertainment industry. If things went according to the original plan, the Guardians sequel would have been completed and should be released earlier this year, meaning it would have been put on hold just like this one Black widow and Eternal. Meanwhile, a Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special is coming to Disney + ahead of Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is still on schedule at Marvel Studios, but many other things have to happen first. James Gunn has yet to finish The suicide squadwhich is currently set to open in theaters next summer. He’ll also have press to complete and possibly take a bit of vacation before getting back into action with the MCU. The interview with Dave Bautista was originally conducted by Entertainment Weekly.
