The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to expand and get a lot bigger. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently briefed Disney investors on what they and fans can expect from the studio in the next few years. Feige previously teased the MCU’s Phase 4 last summer at San Diego Comic-Con where he and Marvel broke the house down. As it turned out, the studio had a lot more plans that they hadn’t announced that day. Feige became Santa Claus this year to bring in a ton of new MCU info, as well as some long-awaited trailers.
The biggest difference with Phase 4 of the MCU compared to previous phases is that the studio worked with Disney + to deliver shows that matched the big screen adventures. Fans should have been treated with both The falcon and the winter soldier, along with WandaVision this year. However, due to the public health crisis, this was not possible.
The Disney + Little Shows weren’t the only projects hit by the public health crisis this year. Black widow and Eternal should have been out and in theaters this year. If the stand-alone Natasha Romanoff film had come out in May, it would be available on Blu-ray for the holidays. Well, these two long-awaited films are slated to hit theaters next year depending on how things go.
While many MCU fans expected Kevin Feige to announce it Black widow would be available on Disney + and in theaters like Wonder Woman 1984 Released on Christmas Day on HBO Max and in theaters, but it didn’t. Disney will not follow in Warner Bros. footsteps for a hybrid release system in 2021.
