Only one episode left WandaVision Get to grips with completing a variety of storylines with the show’s grand finale. But one mystery was already solved before it even aired, though it’s unlikely to make fans happy. In an interview with Good Morning America, Paul Bettany, who plays the title role of Vision, admitted that the secret cameo he has been teasing for weeks is in fact himself, playing a different version of Vision.
“You know when you think something is going to be funny and you say it and then you panic? I did. The fans started to guess who [the cameo] might be. They suspected people like Benedict Cumberbatch or Patrick Stewart. I thought, ‘God, this is a good idea and you will be so disappointed when you find out it’s me.’ “
It all started when Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda on the show, were asked if WandaVision contained a secret cameo based on Luke Skywalker’s appearance in The Mandalorian. Both Bettany and Olsen confirmed that such a cameo was indeed on the horizon, and Bettany went so far as to praise the mystery actor as someone he has always wanted to work with.
“So many things are leaked, but something happens that is completely under wraps. I’m working with this actor that I’ve always wanted to work with and we have fireworks together, the scenes are great and I think the people going to get really excited. I’ve always wanted to work with this guy and the scenes are pretty intense. “
Bettany’s words made the MCU fandom nervous, and several big names were tossed around. Many hoped the cameo of Patrick Stewart as Professor X or Ian McKellan as Magneto would come from Fox’s X-Men Franchise. Also debuted as Evan Peters’ Quicksilver from the same franchise WandaVisionFans were hoping that there would be another secret cameo on the final episode of the show.
We now know that the surprise character will be a different version of Vision, known as “White Vision”, which was put together by SWORD from the broken body of the Android. In the final episode, there will be a showdown between White Vision and the vision that has appeared on the series so far. The final episode revealed that it was created from scratch by Wanda himself.
Interestingly, Benedict Cumberbatch is said to have appeared in the last episode of WandaVisionas the end of the show will lead straight to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will work with Doctor Strange to save the Multiverse.
