Clifford “T.I.” Harris will not be part of the upcoming sequel Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The news follows recent allegations of sexual abuse against T.I. and his wife with production on the couple’s VH1 series T.I. and tiny: friends and family hectic recently suspended. It is not yet clear whether T.I. Ant man 3 is directly related to the controversy or when the sequel story just did not call for his character to appear.
T.I. appeared in the first Ant man Filmed in 2015 as Dave, a member of the Scott Lang crew and a personal friend of Paul Rudd’s miniature superhero. The rapper repeated the role in the 2018 sequel Ant man and the waspand helped Scott and his other friends Luis (Michael Peña) and Kurt (David Dastmalchian). So far there has been no evidence that T.I. was set to return one more time for Ant man 3, his recent controversy is likely to keep that door tightly closed.
Attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn is representing 11 alleged victims and has T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris of several serious crimes, including “forced drugs, kidnapping, rape and intimidation”. Blackburn claims the incidents occurred in at least two states, including Georgia and California, and he directed inquiries to the attorneys general in those states to initiate criminal investigations. In a separate statement, T.I. and Tiny strongly denied the allegations.

The sequel is part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began with in January WandaVision on Disney +. Black widow will mark the MCU’s return to theaters when it co-releases in May Eternal, Shang-Chi, and Spider-Man: No way home all after this year. Next year, Ant man 3 will also be in good company alongside other expected sequels like Thor: love and thunder, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness, Captain Marvel 2, and Black panther II.
