BenQ has launched two new entertainment monitors in India. The monitors have the model numbers EW3280U and EW2780Q and are equipped with “Brightness Intelligence Plus” technology, with which brightness and color temperature can be adjusted depending on the environment. The new monitors also feature BenQ’s HDRi technology and TreVolo speakers. The higher quality BenQ EW3280U monitor has a 95 percent DCI-PE color gamut and the BenQ EW2780Q monitor has 99 percent sRGB.

The new BenQ EW3280U monitor is the premium model of the two and costs Rs. 69,990. The BenQ EW2780Q monitor, on the other hand, costs Rs. 29,999 in India. These monitors are available from partner retail stores which can be searched for on the company’s website.
BenQ EW3280U monitor functions
As for the technical details, the BenQ EW3280U monitor has a 32-inch 4K UHD IPS panel (3840 x 2160 pixels) that supports BenQ’s HDRi and VESA DisplayHDR 400 for optimized images and an impressive viewing experience. According to BenQ, HDRi technology combines brightness intelligence, color saturation, balance optimization and proprietary HDR image techniques to emphasize image contrast and sharpness. It comes with a response time of 5 milliseconds GtG and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The monitor has two integrated 2 W BenQ stereo speakers “treVolo” and a 5 W woofer on board. It has 95 percent DCI-P3 color gamut with HDR and supports FreeSync technology. In addition to the other conventional connections such as HDMI, there is an additional USB Type-C connection on board. It has various eye care features like Brightness Intelligence Plus, weak blue light and flicker-free technologies as well as a new ePaper mode, an eye reminder and a color weakness mode.
According to BenQ, the ePaper mode simulates paperbacks and e-books with ideal contrast, brightness and color temperature range for comfortable reading, while Eye Reminder alerts users to the need to take breaks from viewing due to custom settings. The color weakness mode compensates for red and green screen colors for viewers with protanomaly or deuteranomaly color blindness.
BenQ EW2780Q monitor functions
The cheaper BenQ EW2780Q monitor has a 27-inch 2K UHD IPS panel (2560 x 1440 pixels) as well as BenQ’s HDRi support for an impressive display. It has two 5 W TreVolo stereo speakers and offers a response time of 5 milliseconds GtG at a refresh rate of 60 Hz. With HDR, there is an sRGB color range of 99 percent. The monitor is also equipped with eye care functions such as Brightness Intelligence Plus, TÜV-certified flicker-free, weak blue light and ePaper mode.
