Western Digital has introduced a number of WD Black family of PC storage solutions. These include the WD Black SN850 NVMe SSD with first-class read and write speeds and the WD Black AN1500 NVMe SSD add-on card. In addition, the company has confirmed that it will be rolling out three new Call of Duty SSDs on the Black Ops Cold War theme next month. This includes the WD Black Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Special Edition SN850 NVMe SSSD, P10 Game Drive and P50 Game Drive SSD.

The new WD Black SN850 NVMe SSD version without a heat sink costs from Rs. 14,490 in India. It is offered in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage options. The company says it is already available from leading IT retailers and e-tailers in India.
The WD Black SN850 NVMe SSD integrates PCIe Gen4 technology and offers fast read and write speeds of up to 5,300 Mbit / s (1 TB model). It was built with the WD Black G2 controller and is optimized for top-notch and high-intensity games. Thanks to the brand new cache technology, it can reduce game loading times and transfer files faster than its predecessor.
The WD Black SN850 NVMe SSD offers improved performance with shallow queue depth and has an optional RGB-enabled (Windows devices only) heat sink model that reduces thermal throttling.

The new WD Black AN1500 NVMe SSD add-on card starts at Rs. 30,990 in India and is also available from leading IT retailers and e-tailers in India. The card is available in 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB capacities.
It is a fully bootable plug-and-play add-on card powered by two internal SSDs in RAID 0 and PCIe Gen3 x8 technology. The WD Black AN1500 NVMe SSD add-on card offers read speeds of up to 6,500 Mbit / s and write speeds of up to 4,100 Mbit / s (2 TB and 4 TB models). Other functions include customizable RGB lighting under Windows and an integrated heat sink for thermal throttling.

Western Digital has also introduced a range of portable gaming drives including the WD Black P10 Game Drive, P10 Game Drive for Xbox, and P50 Game Drive SSD. The last model offers read speeds of up to 2,000 Mbit / s and up to 2 TB of storage space. It has a SuperSpeed USB interface (20 Gbit / s) which is fully compatible with new game components released with the same connectivity.
The external hard drive of the WD Black P10 Game Drive improves the performance of your PC with capacities of up to 5 TB. It has an on-the-go form factor and there is also a WD Black P10 Game Drive for Xbox model specially designed for gamers looking to add more storage to their Xbox. It offers capacities of up to 5 TB to store up to 125 games (based on the average that a game takes up 36 GB of storage space).
